A hurricane on the east coast???

This week ought to be interesting! We may have a snow day from a hurricane! Hurricane Sandy is making her way up the coast and is supposed to be in NYC by tomorrow evening.

Currently, the schools in St. Lawrence county are being urged to close school early tomorrow to make sure kids can be bussed home safely. Not really sure if I should be stocking up on water and batteries! I guess only tomorrow can tell if Sandy continues her path up through Pennsylvania and New York!

    1. Thanks! Hopefully all this ruckus over the hurricane will be over reaction...we've never had a hurricane make it up this way inland like they are saying it will be. We are up to 13 districts closing early tomorrow!

  2. We bought a couple of bags of ice and figure if things are bad we will head for the basement and survive on Halloween candy. Hopefully this is more hype than anything and we will all be ok!

  3. Same thing happened to us here in PA last Halloween. Pa schools are closed and Sandy is on the same path as last night.

All to do now is sit and wait.

  4. We are off today as well and some of the school have already called off for Tuesday as well!! After last year with the earthquake I feel like anything is possible at this point with the crazy weather days. Hope you get some good R&R time and don't lose power!!

  5. Here in New Jersey nothing is open for the next two days! Basically the whole state is shut down! We are starting to get some of the wind but the brunt of the storm is supposed to hit us tonight. Figure by morning we will have no power. Unlike last years devastating freak blizzard we are ready for it!

  6. Stay safe everyone! All I need to do is bring in some firewood and fill my bathtub...I'll be all set! Thinking of turning up the fridge and freezer temps too...may wait a few more hours though to see if we actually start getting windy.
